Helen studied the OU programme 'Managing in Organisations' which applies systems theory to organisational problems. She went on to tutor this degree-level course and also tutors the residential element of the MBA course 'Creativity, Innovation and Change'.

She has a particular interest in using visual methods to help explore complex problems, and completed a facilitation mastery course with The Grove Consultants International in the US, world leaders in graphic facilitation.

Helen is also an experienced facilitator of action learning sets.

Cath Gregory

Cath has an M.B.A. and an MSc in Organisation Development & Consultancy; she is also a Certified Management Consultant of the Institute of Business Consulting. She has worked mainly with third and public sector organisations on strategy, performance improvement and evaluation since she started consulting in 1999. Prior to that her career was in the rail industry; her last role being a director of a privatised train operating company which had a turnover of over £250m and 2000+ staff.

Standards

Crane Gregory is a Recognised Practice of the Institute of Business Consulting, and an NCVO Approved Consultant. We work to the Institute of Business Consulting Code of Professional Conduct.

Our Associates

We have a small number of trusted associates, with whom we have worked in the past, whom we can call on to work with us on specific projects. Our principal associates are independent consultants Michele Lockwood-Edwards and John Wright.

Michele Lockwood-Edwards

Michele has worked in education and the health service. Her role prior to freelance consulting was as Head of Training and Development at a large acute hospital Trust in south east England. Michele has been working independently in organisation development for 10 years.

Michele obtained her MSc in Organisation Development & Consultancy, and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She is interested in helping organisations to improve performance through working with teams and individuals, and particularly values action learning and coaching approaches.

John Wright

John Wright | CraneGregory.com

Previously a senior manager in manufacturing industry, John is now a Teaching Fellow at the University of Sheffield Management School, teaching Statistics and Operations Management and offering consultancy in these areas.

He is a Chartered Engineer with an MA in Business Studies and his prime interest is in analysing and communicating data about real world issues in a meaningful manner.
